Frank Page Inaugurates SBC President’s Web Site

Newly-elected SBC President Frank Page wasted no time setting up a President’s Page at www.sbc.net, the SBC’s main Internet site. This is a great move that will allow Dr. Page to express himself to Southern Baptists and to the larger world. He has also posted some interesting material that deserves close attention.

From his introductory statement:

In this website, I would like to answer some of the questions that are often asked to me and/or about me. I am well aware that prior to June 13, I was relatively unknown on a nationwide scale. Many people are asking questions, and I hope that this website will help answer some of those. I am trying to describe myself as a “normal” Southern Baptist pastor. What does that mean to me? It means that I am a pastor of a church that is rather traditional in its mindset and programming. It is a church that experienced struggles in the past and yet great growth as well. Like most pastors, I face issues and situations that sometimes can be very discouraging and at other times can be very encouraging.
